This special fashion design program allows young designers to experience the complete journey from first concept to a finished runway-ready look — and to prepare their own designs for participation in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, London, and Milan Fashion Week events.
FROM CLASSROOM TO FASHION WEEK
Students go beyond simply following a sewing project.
They learn how garments are planned and constructed, how to solve design challenges, select appropriate techniques, refine details and prepare a finished piece for professional runway presentation.
THINK LIKE A DESIGNER
Students learn how professional designers transform an idea into a complete runway look.
They explore inspiration, create mood boards, develop silhouettes, select fabrics, colors, textures and trims, and learn how every creative decision contributes to the final design.
CREATE YOUR OWN RUNWAY LOOK
Each student develops an individual fashion project from concept to completion.
With instructor guidance, students learn garment construction, sewing techniques, fittings, adjustments, finishing and styling while bringing their own creative vision to life.

Students may have opportunities to participate in selected Fashion Week events; event participation requires separate enrollment, fees, materials, and applicable expenses.”
DESIGN • CONSTRUCT • PRESENT
Students are not simply learning about Fashion Week — they are preparing to become part of it.
Young designers develop and create their own garments at School of Couture and have the opportunity to present their work through fashion show experiences in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, London, and Milan.
THE FASHION WEEK EXPERIENCE
Students work toward presenting their creations as young designers, not simply as models wearing someone else’s clothing.
They learn how designers prepare for a fashion show, meet deadlines, complete final fittings, style their looks and confidently present their creative work.
